Guys,

I have never really done anything for charity and i have decided 2014 is the year.

I am not running marathons, cycling 500 miles but to me this is seriously one of THE most terrifying things i could do.

Anyone who knows me would know that i do not have a head for heights and i always stay far away from danger (except obviously when in my car when i am danger to everyone.) I have always HATED anything to do with adrenaline- i tend to leave that to my sister - so this is big news for me. But i think it is for a great cause - Gift of Sight was established with the aim of funding world-class research into the prevention and treatment of blindness and as many of you know I am pretty blind! Minus 7 in my right eye and two years ago was diagnosed with macular degeneration - which is pretty unusual for someone my age and leads to blindness. Thanks to ammazing research by Gift of Sight i managed to get on a clinical trial and so far my sight has not just stopped deteriorating but i think it has got a little better!
