Back in July 2012, Ellen and I were looking to fundraise for these charities, and were thinking along the lines of a bake sale (much less commitment)...  Then we found this 400km cycle challenge on Jo's Trust website and for some crazy reason went for it -- even though neither of us even owned a bike!

The challenge itself is going to be a struggle, 400km (250 miles) in the sweltering heat... But we would never have taken on this challenge if it wasn't all for a great cause.

Cancer affects us all, whether as individuals or our family and friends.  My teammate Ellen was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 24.  Ellen is now fit and healthy, and we have Jo's Trust to thank for supporting her through that time.  

By doing this challenge we are raising vital funds to help these charities continue to provide a vital service and support for women who have been diagnosed with cancer.  It's not a free Caribbean holiday!! We will be paying for all expenses on the trip (flights etc) so all your donations will go directly to charity.
