About my charity : beat beat
beat provides information, help and support to people affected by eating disorders. The charity works to increase knowledge, awareness and understanding, and campaigns for improved standards and availability of care. beat's telephone helplines take 20,000 calls a year. They support a UK-wide Self Help Network and provide awareness training across the UK.

My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! After completing a few 5km races in the past few years i have decided it's time to take on something a bit more challenging and in doing so raising money for a charity which is close to my heart. Beat is the leading UK charity for people with eating disorders and their families. Eating disorders are a serious mental illness affecting 1.1 million people in the UK. beat provides helplines for adults and young people, online support and a UK-wide network of self-help groups to help people beat their eating disorder. beat's vision is simple. Eating Disorders will be Beaten. Please help me to raise money for this very worthwhile charity!
