For those of you who know me and have started to witness this crazy challenge unfold, I'm hoping  that you're  now begining to see and understand what an important journey this is for me!

2008 marked the start of a very difficult journey for Debs,one of my close friends mums. She had a really bad accident a home which resulted in a broken back. The last 18 months have been no less than a courageous battle of determination and will power for Debs and the whole family, and now it's my time to make what difference I can.

Along with endless physio, Debs has endured operations on her spinal canal and months away from her family and friends in the Spinal Unit at Sheffield Hospital.

Abi has been a legend!! A true daughter of gold, not only has she given every waking hour to supporting and caring for her mum,she has tirelessly fundraised for Spinal Research!!

This is my chance to pay forward  what I can for Abi, Debs and all the people that have benefited from the amazing work that the Charity do.

You never know what's around the corner, so please please please, I can't tell you enough what this would mean to me . . . and those who have had their lives affected by spinal injury.

I know what you're all thinking . . . . . . Lucy . . . . marathon. . . . EASY!! Oh how wrong you can be!! Never have I been so scared about one single task in my life.

The training is unbelievable, and if everyone of you could just part with 50p per mile, I'll be well on my way to smashing the target x Just 100 of my friends donating £15 each would mean everything . . . . . . . . . .  I would be forever grateful(and might even run it naked!!!!!!!!!)lol

Promise I'll never ask for anything again x x (Maybe just some plasters and a new pair of feet!!)
