Hello there people,

As many of you know a couple of years ago I completed my first marathon in London and raised over £17,000 in the process for 'World Cancer Research Fund'. I couldn't have done that without the amazing support of all my family and friends...and even some people I had never met. Just want to thank you guys again, you were all very generous
For some crazy irrational reason I have signed up to do the NYC marathon this year on the 2nd November(2008). This time I wanted to do it for a bowel cancer specific charity because, as most of you know, this is the terrible disease that my Dad died of and it is well under-publicised despite the fact that it claims 50 lives a day in the UK alone.

I would be very grateful if you could sponsor me to make an absolute fool of myself yet again any donation small or big will be hugely appreciated. I shall consider any requests that you may have i.e. "I will donate a tenner if you wear odd socks whilst doing the marathon"

I should tell you that I will be running around New York wearing a pair of the beating bowel cancer 'bum shorts' (there is a plastic bum on the outside of the shorts to emphasise awareness of the condition)
