Hi!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I'm thrilled to say I did it! I finished the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon and whilst I was not the speediest rabbit on the course I completed it in under 1 hour 55 minutes (hey, I was thrilled to have completed it!). I just wanted to say a huge 'Thank you!' to everyone who supported me. Your contributions will make an enormous difference to the girls' lives in Nepal.
What's more, I'm planning to run the Southend half marathon on the 14th of June. I would be thrilled if anyone wanted to sponsor me as it really is for such a good cause. With your help I'd love to make a difference to the lives of young girls in Nepal who have been abducted and forced into prostitution. Asha-Nepal will seek to find those children and bring them home; to offer them an education and where stigma prevails, an alternative safe haven; to offer them healthcare, training, employment and crucially it attempts through it's education programme to prevent children from being abducted in the first place.
So go on, dig out those moneyboxes and for a small fee I promise not to tell you of the joys of training, such as runner's toe (there's a whole world of toe-nail free runners out there if you did but know - at least one more this week :-)
