Personal message:

Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

I’m off to Zambia in August with a team of people to help extend and renovate a primary school in a shanty town on the outskirts of Lusaka. The school was founded about 10 years ago in what was previously a family home – over 120 pupils share one toilet and have classes in the subdivided bedrooms!

The plan is to build 2 new classrooms with the hope of adding more in the future and to put 2 new toilets into the existing bathroom. But although I’ll be laying down the bass to pick up the building tools (the mind boggles!), not much can happen without a bit of funding.

So, if you can make it to my recital on 24th July (8pm at St Mary’s Church, Maidenhead) and put a donation in the kitty, that would be fantastic. But if you can’t make it and would like to make a donation anyway – here is where to do it. Of course, if you would like to do both, hey, why not?

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also really efficient: Mission Direct gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

100% of the money raised will go directly to the project, and by donating through this website, gift aid can be claimed as well. So please dig deep and give whatever you feel able to.

You’re all stars! Thank you so much.

Lucy xx
