We tragically lost Lucy in Feburary 2011 due to her epilepsy, she was aged 28. As you all know, she was a real life force, a larger than life character who was loved for her sense of humour, her huge smile, her unwavering loyalty to friends and family...and that laugh!

She achieved so much in her short life, and brought so much joy to everyone who met her, no matter how fleetingly. She turned even the most sober affair into a party and I’m sure you all have a memory of Lucy that will make you smile.

What was so special about Lucy was that she was never defeated or deterred by her epilepsy and radiated a positivity that was nothing short of inspiring.

We have set up this memorial fund where donations will go the Epilepsy Research UK, a charity dedicated to researching the causes, treatment and potential cure for epilepsy so those with the illness can lead full and happy lives.

It’s a comfort for her family and friends that we can all contribute to a charity that looks to find a cure for such an unpredictable affliction in the knowledge that it could save other’s from losing their loved ones.
