Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
So blood, sweat AND tears were the order of the day as I tackled the Inca Trail in Peru covering 40 km (25 miles), 3 mountain passes and beginning at 3000 metres, climing to about 4200m (13772ft) at one stage.
The trek was eventful to say the least as I had 3 days unsure whether I would make it onto the trail, due to visa problems from a bodge up with the travel company which caused problems at the checkpoint, and Liz contracted Salmonella so ended up in a Peruvian hospital on a drip, not to mention being bitten alive by mosquitoes... But it was an amazing experience resulting in the view to the left which made it all worthwhile.
Thank you so much to those of you who have dug deep and supported this very worthy cause. Chelmsford Samaritans do wonderful, if very low-key work and make the difference to hundreds of lives. So a huge thanks to you all.
