Story
It's done!!! I've made it back from the top of the world... and yes I'd gladly go back!
What an amazing experience! Yes it was cold, especially in the blizzard. Yes it was tough at times - hmmm, trying to get myself upright whilst by being pulled head first through deep snow springs to mind, oh, and remembering, no matter what, don't let go of the team! But I don't know how anyone could find it in their heart to complain whilst seeing such amazing scenery (northern lights!!) and being with such hard working dogs (and people!). I'll try and find a way to share my photos with you, but for now, a small selection....Thanks to everyone who helped me raise money for the Dogs Trust - for everyone else, there's still time to donate... this website is now open until April 11th!
All the money raised on my Justgiving page goes directly to The Dogs Trust – it’s not for covering my own expenses! I've always been a Dog Person and have sponsored a dog with the Trust for a while now - the only way to own a dog when you live in a flat and work all day! The work they do to care for unwanted dogs and encourage responsible dog ownership is fantastic, especially given that they receive no government funding. They are due to open another rehoming centre soon to help find loving owners for lonely dogs. Please help me reach my target and allow them to continue their superb work for our four-legged friends. For more info on the latest outreach projects and important work this money will go towards visit www.dogstrust.org.uk . Thank you!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
