I am in the proceeds of setting this up. I have all the contacts to send letters to all Premiership clubs.
I did a live interviewon BBC Radio WM regarding the kidney appeal on 14th January 2009. I was born with chronic renal failure and am partially sighted can only see straight through my left eye.
Chronic Renal failure is a condition that affected the functions of both my kidneys. I had a unsuccessful transplant when i was 1 and i am 20 now and had to go on Dialysis for 7 years to help keep me alive. I was fortunate to have a successful kidney operation in September 1997. I am the quickest person out of hospital after this kind of transplant after coming out in 5 days when i was meant to be in for at least 6 weeks.
Now as some of you are aware i am planning on running around the pitch at half time of the all the Midlands clubs including: Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Wolves, West Brom and Walsall. As I am an Aston Villa away season ticket holder I have written to the clubs who Villa are facing away from home to see if I can do it their aswell. I am looking to raise 10,000 pounds towards this great appeal.
Birmingham Childrens Hospital are building a new renal unit so children can be in a more relaxed and modern atmosphere whilst undergoing treatment.
Despite my problems i am a determined lad and have recently organised the villa side as part of the 606 cup in Nottingham in February which will be to do for Sports Relief.
BBC WM are right behind me and will be publisising my event and hope they will put a link to my website on their main page.
I don't know how to set this up on other teams board but will probably copy and paste it to each of the midlands club boards and liverpools and maybe others.
If this appeal comes off it will be a great success and may save those extra lives.
If you want to sponsor me please get in touch and i will update on my progress over the coming weeks.
So far, Sunderland football club have sent me a signed shirt to auction off which is why I have now decided to write a letter to every Premiership and Championship team to see if they could send me a signed shirt. When I have a good number of shirts I will get in contact with a football auction or football memorabilia company to see if they will be able to auction them off for me.
Tuesday 27th January, I will be holding a bucket collection outside Fratton Park , Portsmouth Football Club's ground and will update this page to let you know how much I raise.
Birmingham City football club are really interested in helping me out and are currently organising a match or non match day for me to run round the pitch plus will be sending me some signed gifts to go on the auction.
Hope you will be able to raise money for this great charity as that extra bit of money will help and save many people.
Update 26th January 2009.
Liverpool football club have phoned me are again currently organising some way of me running around Anfield when Aston Villa play them in March. They have also said they will send me some signed memorabilia to aid the appeal.
Update 3rd February 2009
Middlesbrough football club have sent me a signed Pendant which I praise them for. Hull City, Tottenham Hotspur and championship club Barnsley are all unfortunately unwilling to co-operate. Aston Villa have so far only want to send me match tickets but I am not sure what to do as I do not want to be done for ticket touting. The representative at Liverpool football club has said she is going to give them a ring and try to convince them to do something else.
Thanks to everybody at Portsmouth football club and their fans. I raised 35 pounds at Fratton Park on January 27th. I praise everybody that contributed on the night. Will update when I hear anything else.
Update: 17th February 2009
I will be running around Anfield on Thursday 26th February.
Massive thank you to everybody in connection with Liverpool Football Club
Update: Thursday 26th February 2009
Today is the day I ran round Anfield and Goodison Park. Want to say a big thank you to all the staff associated with both Liverpool and Everton Football Club and the echo. The Liverpool Echo were present and took some photos for me and an article will be in the paper on Saturday. If you want to see the pictures add me on facebook.
A big surprise is that I am in the Birmingham Evening Mail. The story is great and would like to thank Paul Bradley on producing the story and giving me the publicity.
