As some of you know, some of you didnt know & now all of you know I am along with my bro Simon, going to be attempting our first half marathon (13.1 miles). I have choosen to conquer this distance in running the Torbay Half Marathon on Sunday 21st June 2009. But I didnt want to just run it, I wanted to run it for charity & for a worthwhile local charity. So I have choosen to run for Lifeworks. These guys look after young people with learning difficulties who are in need of respite and life skills training. Stuff that we all take for granted in our own lives...like dressing, washing, going for a walk and buying things in shops are really difficult for these kids. Lifeworks runs the Robins Respite Centre situated in Dartington which gives families a much needed break from 24/7 caring and the kids get to meet others and do new things that they never thought possible for them. So please sponsor me now! It will mean alot to me, also Rachel (as she used to work there) & most importantly Lifeworks.
