On the 25th June I’m swimming theStrait ofGibraltar. That’s from Europe toAfrica. The swim is between 18km-22km depending on currents and weather conditions etc and will hopefully take me between 4-7 hours. TheStrait ofGibraltar is the world’s 2nd busiest shipping lane and other hazards include sharks and killer whales, possible hypothermia and severe currents and weather conditions. I am swimming this alone and I will only be the 11th person to have done it from the U.K. I am looking to raise £5000 for my chosen charity, Right To Play. Right To Play uses specially-designed sport and play programmes to improve health, build life skills, and foster peace for children and communities affected by war, poverty and disease. Right To Play has projects in more than 20 countries in Africa Asia and theMiddle East. If you would like to find out more information about the great work that Right To Play do then this is their internet link www.righttoplay.org.uk I would be very grateful for any donations that you can spare as it all helps. I assure you that it will be going to a worthy cause.
Many thanks,
Luke Pegna
