Hey everyone, just thought I would start a facebook group giving details and making people aware of a little journey I am taking in a couple of months.

On Saturday 1st August I shall be setting off on a 1,000 mile bike ride starting Lands End and finishing up at John O'Groats, which is the traversal of the whole length of the island of Great Britain between two extremities - as Wiki states Land's End is the extreme southwestward (but not southern or western) point of Great Britain, situated in western Cornwall at the end of the Penwith Peninsula.

John o' Groats is the traditionally acknowledged extreme northern point of Scotland, in northeastern Caithness. The actual northernmost point is at nearby Dunnet Head. The point which is actually furthest by road from Land's End is Duncansby Head, about 2 miles (3.2 km) from John o' Groats.

This journey is going to take me hopefully 13 days, doing around 75 miles per day and I will be looking to do this without a days rest, whilst camping at night.

I am doing this to both raise money for charity and a personal experiance, all those that know me know how much I love my cycling.

I shall be shortly opening a donations page and any donation would be welcomed! The charity I am going to donate the money to the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Charity, so I hope you all find it in your hearts to donate a couple of quid! Whats that? Not even a pint these days!
