Lush Longboards Bath to Bristol Charity Skate 2009 · 25 February 2009

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

At 11am on Saturday 6th June 2009, over 200 skateboarders are expected to leave Bath Spa train station to skate 15 miles along the railway path to Bristol Temple Meads station.

Some riders will be skating fast, some will be skating slow, some will be skating in fancy dress and some will be turning around at Bristol and skating right back to Bath again!

This annual fundraising charity event is the third to be organised by Lush Longboards of Bristol. The money raised by this year's event will go to support the important work of The National Autistic Society (NAS), a very deserving cause. Watch their campaign film at www.think-differently.org.uk

Last year's event raised over £2500 for charity. For 2009 we hope to exceed that amount, so please dig deep into your pockets and down the back of the sofa and pledge as much as you possibly can

If you would like to join us on the day or would like further information, please contact Jo at lushb2binfo@yahoo.co.uk.
