LV Gi Cycle - 600miles · 22 March 2010

No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

On 22 March 2010, Bruce Clarkson and Chris Baxter will start a gruelling 605 mile charity bike ride to raise money for Julia’s House ‘Pyjama appeal’.

This year’s GI Cycle will involve an average of 120 miles each day from Bournemouth cycling to:

  • -Bristol
  • -Huddersfield
  • -Croydon
  • -Bournemouth
The aim is to raise £6,000 to assist Julia’s House achieve their ‘Pyjama Appeal’ target of £400,000, therefore your help will be greatly appreciated.

The money we raise could help to fund:

  • -A part-time carer for 6 months
  • -10 morning sessions at the hospice for up to 8 children
Back in November 2008 Bruce and Chris completed a 400 mile charity bike ride between the Bournemouth, Bristol & Croydon offices.

After five days of blood, sweat and tears in the saddle, with an average of 80 miles cycling per day. The guys have decided to really raise the bar with regards to endurance & difficulty:

Your support will be much appreciated not just by the team but by all the parents & children who use the facilities at Julia’s House.

Please support us to raise money for the pyjama appeal at Julia's House
