Lydd Half-Marathon · 14 March 2010

Pilgrims Hospices is a charity providing palliative care, free of charge, to people in east Kent. For people with a range of life-limiting illnesses, specialist services are provided from our three hospices in Canterbury, Ashford and Thanet, in patients' homes and via community programmes.

Story

I will be running the Lydd half-marathon to raise money for Pilgrims Hospice in Canterbury, where my Dad was well cared for until he died last December. The hospice does a great job looking after terminally ill patients and is funded entirely by donations.

This will be my first attempt at a half-marathon. I choose Lydd because it is nice and flat with no soul-destroying hills! If all goes well I may attempt the hilly Canterbury half-marathon later in the year.

If you would like to run with me or come along and support me that would be great!
