I am going to Iceland to raise money for the British Horse Society by riding the traditional Icelandic horses.  I will assist in looking after the herd of horses throughout the challenge and will ride at least two or three horses per day.  I will spend 7 hours a day in the saddle and the routes will be challenging, negotiating  glacial rivers and climbing mountainous trails.  

i have never taken part in anything like this before and even though i horse ride regularly i will find the training leading up to trek and the trek its self daunting, yet very exciting.. it will be a real personal challenge
