Hello everyone!

On the 9^th June 2010 Agnes and I (Natalia) will be cycling from Lymedale to to raise money for Children’s Hope UK.

Briefly about us:

Aga and I have known each-other our entire life! Together in Primary School, Secondary school…flatmates in the for 6 years …

We have both been working for New Look – first in and then in Lymedale – for almost 6 years now :)Agnieszka works in Stock Control and I work as part of the DC Admin team!

Anyway In a moment of madness I’ve decided that it will be good idea to take a part in Fashion Peddlars…obviously not on my own-

That wouldn’t be much fun.

I’ve signed Agnieszka for it also…

I Came back home from work and said Aga please take a seat- I have something to tell you:

“We are both taking part in a ride from Lymedale to “Fashion Peddlars” challenge (I was soooo optimistic about it).

U know it’s 4 days of peddling- somewhere around 240 miles…we need to raise £2000 sponsorship between us and it’s 6 weeks away so plenty time to train!

Aga replied: hmmm oooooook!  But Nat we haven’t been riding for last 15 years…and we haven’t got bicycles …but Hey- why not?

Than we went to the gym did 12 miles to start with and we couldn’t move for couple of next days...but we are getting better and better every day (we can walk now) :)

Our mums were mortified about it… while my brother just couldn’t stop laughing- his older unfit sister is riding 180 miles!!!!!

He had to remind me that I’ve spent 2 days in hospital last time when I was cycling.

If we both complete it we will do the “Iron Man” triathlon in ….ooooh no- just kidding- please anyone do not sign us for this one!!!!

Hope Agnieszka after all doesn’t do that as revenge! ;) and I hope after all this we will still remain best friends forever - sure we will!

BANGLADESH- FACTS:

-More than half the inhabitants of ’s city slums are children: nearly 15 million boys and girls, of which 8 million must work to help their families survive

-Over 40 million people in live below the poverty line. They face yearly natural disasters, inefficient agricultural technologies, limited employment, low wages, low education, a polluted environment and poor access to health services. 

-Children's malnutrition is widespread – some 50 percent of children under age 5 are malnourished. While significant strides have been made in school enrolment, primary school completion rates, particularly among girls, remain very low, at less than 40 percent.

-There were about 4.3 million children born in 2007 in , of which about 211,000 (4.8%) have died within the first 12 months after birth. Based on current trends, an additional 435,000 children will die between age 1 and age 5

Children’s Hope Charity provides help with school fees, medical support and nutritious meals so pleeeeeeeeease help! :)
