The matches are played with a great sprit and dedication to the cause. As well as a fundraiser for the charity, the day is also a terrific social occasion, made all the more enjoyable by Hitchin RFC's great bar and clubhouse.<br style="margin-bottom: 10px;"><br style="margin-bottom: 10px;">As well as winning the Overton International Festival in 2007, The Periwinkles have also appeared on television when Claire was given a fashion makeover by some lovely ladies at the BBC.&nbsp;<br style="margin-bottom: 10px;"><br style="margin-bottom: 10px;">New playing members and supporters always welcome!!! Find out a bit more about us here -&nbsp;http://www.lymphomarugby.com/<br style="margin-bottom: 10px;"><br style="margin-bottom: 10px;">The Periwinkles would like to thank all their family and friends as well as everyone at Hitchin RFC for making this event an ongoing success, both on and off the pitch.</p> <p style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 12px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; line-height: 16px; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 12px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; line-height: 16px; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"><span style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 13px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">The money raised has helped to provide a free lifeline of support for people affected by lymphatic cancer, offering them a listening ear and helping them come to terms with what they are going through. It has enabled us to answer calls to the helpline from people needing emotional support; fund information packs for newly diagnosed patients; fund buddy links between patients and someone who has been through a similar experience; and set up new support groups in local areas where they are needed. &nbsp; The Lymphoma Association continues to be the only UK charity solely dedicated to providing this specialist information and support and relies totally on voluntary funding to keep its free services running.</span></p> <p style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 12px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; line-height: 16px; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"><em style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 12px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;"><strong style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 12px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">So please dig deep and donate now.</strong></em></p> </span></p>
