In 2008 I will fulfil a lifetime ambition to run the London Marathon.  Those of you who know me will recognise that I have spent many years totally immersed in netball, netball and more netball (I loved every minute!).  However time is right to take on a new challenge and at the same time support a charity I feel very strongly about.

We all go home at night to somewhere warm, safe and secure and we have a  roof over our heads.  Not everyone has that luxury and by running in the London Marathon next year I hope to raise over £1600 to support the work done by Shelter to improve the lives of homeless people.  Please help me to help them.

London Marathon 2008 is also celebrating 100 years of the marathon event itself.  What a tremendous honour to be running in the centenial year.  Please support me.  I will commit totally to training to ensure that I complete the race no matter how long it takes.  What will drive me is that I will be making a small contribution to help others less fortunate than myself.
