<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>I'm raising money for The Ben Manning Music Foundation. We set up the music charity in memory of Ben Manning, <span>my brother-in-law who went missing after a night out </span>with friends <span>in Wakefield on 22nd January 2011.&nbsp; </span></p> <p>A widescale search for Ben was conducted alongside the police, and groups of searchers consisted of more than 480 people, including close friends, family and the general public. The exhausting search lasted over 11 days until Ben was eventually found on 2nd February 2011.<br>The family's determination to find Ben safe during the search was inspirational to everyone, as well as the amount of help given by the general public, local businesses and the support shown on the Facebook Page <a></a>of more than 10,000 posts was truely overwhelming.</p> <p>Ben&rsquo;s tragic death and the enormous support from over 22,000 people within the local community inspired the Manning family to set up the charity in his memory.</p> <p>The charity aims to help less fortunate kids in the Wakefield and surrounding areas achieve their musical dreams.</p> <p>The charity helps kids/bands from less privileged backgrounds, who wish to learn and develop musically, by offering financial support, grants, subsidised tuition, and musical instruments.</p> <p>All our funding is purely through fund raising events, such as The Firewalk. All proceeds go towards paying for instruments, starter kits, music lessons, tuition, and workshops for those children who wish to learn and develop musically, but have little or no means to be able to do so currently, due to lack of lesson time and equipment in schools, or the high cost of private lessons and studio hire.</p> <p>Please sponser me so we can continue the work that we do for the kids in our local community, Yopur support for this event would be truely appreciated.
