This Fire Walk is to raise money for Ysgol Y Castell PTA and Rhuddlan Playgroup, both charities provide much needed resources and experiences for the children who attend the school and the Playgroup.  The PTA also organises community events such as the Rhuddlan Carnival and Castell Beat music festival.

The PTA will be using a portion of these funds raised to purchase a Defibrillator as part of a pay-it-forward scheme running in connection with S.A.N.D.S.  We are the second school in Denbighshire to do so.  The scheme aims to equip all primary schools in the surrounding areas with this life saving equipment. S.A.N.D.s hopes that this will raiawareness of the 250 children who die of sudden cardiac arrest every year.

This cause is particularly close to my heart as I have recently been diagnosed with a cardiac condition that can cause sudden cardiac arrest if left untreated.
