Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  During August 2009 I am going to volunteer in Romanian Reliefs safe homes, who house children with special needs who have been abandoned.

I want to try to raise as much money for this fantastic charity as possible.  The work they do is amazing, and the children are really benefitting.  We take so much for granted here, and don't realise how badly treated children (and adults) are treated elsewhere.   

The two Safe homes are at the heart of Romanian Relief. They were opened in 2005 and provide 2 family homes for 12 abandoned children with special needs. The vision for these homes is to provide children with a stable family, and to rehabilitate them from the psychological damage they have suffered from being institutionalized.  Romanian Relief is one of the few charities in Romania who home children with special needs, and is the only charity in thecountyofBihorto do so.
