BUPA Great North Run 2006 · 1 October 2006 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Thanks to all of you who visited and donated last year and helped me to raise over £350 for the Stroke Association.

As you probably know if you donated last year my current research work is partly funded by the Stroke Association and so I'm keen to give something back to show my appreciation for their support.

This year however, I am also running in memory of a family friend, Jack Ronsdale.  Jack suffered a stroke 12 years ago but with the help and support of his family, friends and carers continued to live life to the full until his death in April this year. If like me you have happy memories of Jack, or if you just want to help put a stop to the devastation stroke can bring, please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.  See you at the finish line?
