Last year we lost our wonderful mother to Motor Neurone Disease, which is a terrible progressive disease that rapidly debilitates the person often leaving them totally dependant on others. Our mum died 8 months after diagnosis. She was our fathers carer for over 30 years so this was a particularly cruel blow to us all. Myself and 3 brothers would like to attempt the Machu Picchu Inca Trail Sept 2009. Sponsership to go to research for MND. We would like to do this as a family and help others in a similar situation. We have recently featured in an article in Take A Break Issue 48 pages 38 and 39. also Hartlepool Radio invited us onto their show ( Nov 27th) to talk about our challange to Peru .All donations no matter how small would be greatly appreciated by myself and my 3 brothers. I have pledged to have my head shaved on May 8th at a charity night as I feel this is a fitting tribute to her courage and devotion of a wonderful mother.
