Many of you agreed to sponsor me to lose 5 stone at the beginning of 2007 to raise money for the Myositis Support Group.  As you know, my husband suffers with Dermatomyositis and the Group has been of great support to him since he become ill in 2004.

Those who see me often will know that I am still off target and struggling to lose the 3rd stone, therefore missing my revised target of end June.  I fully appreciate that those who wanted to see the whole lot gone may drop out at this stage.  However, I have made a commitment to lose the full 5 stone so that those who were ambitious enough to donate in advance of my success cannot claim I have taken money under false pretences!!  I will therefore leave the site open until the end of this year in case others would still like to contribute despite my appalling failure at meeting deadlines (references to me being a Civil Servant will be ignored!!)

You might like to know that as punishment I have entered the Race for Life on 13th July.  As I don't think it is fair for me to seek further sponsorship for this I am making a personal donation to Cancer Research of £10 for every £100 I have raised on this sponsorship page to date.

If you do wish to make a donation to the Myositis Support Group you can use this site which is simple, fast and totally secure.  MSG will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, the extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.  Alternatively you can give me cash or a cheque made out to the Myositis Support Group and if I have your address the Gift Aid will still be applied.
