LATEST NEWS - Tuesday 21st October.
I didn't like heights, and I still do not like heights. If I could have climbed over the instructor to get back in the plane, I would have done! Nevertheless, he took charge - and out and doooooooooooooooooown we went. It was scary, cold and made my mascara run...........................but I did it, and raised lots of money, as well as my blood pressure. Thank you all for your support.

‘WHY ON EARTH DID I SAY THAT’
Have you ever asked yourself that question?
That’s exactly what I thought when I said ‘I’ll do that’ after Jim Bennett, Chief Executive, said that a sponsored sky dive was being arranged for the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice.
I’ve come to the conclusion that, as a woman of a certain age, my brain and mouth do not work in conjunction with each other. If they did – I would have kept quiet. Those words came from the mouth of one who doesn’t like to be 10ft in the air, let alone 10,000ft!
Nevertheless, whilst still in shock and having taken the challenge, I cannot think of a better place to raise money for. I’ve worked for the hospice, as a nurse, for the past 14 years, and have seen at first hand the good work that is carried out on a daily basis, for so many people, whether they are patients, relatives or carers.
I would really appreciate your sponsorship (makes it much harder for me to back out), which will enable the hospice to carry on its invaluable work.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you in anticipation
