There are 1 million institutionalised kids in Europe. Mirela is one of those kids. And as little as one pound can help take Mirela out of an institution and into a warm, loving family home.

 Born during Ceausescu’s regime in Romania, teenage Mirela has been in an institution all her life. She has never experienced the type of Christmas we know, so we are raising money to build a family home for Mirela and her siblings so they don’t suffer another bitter winter.

 I and Hope and Homes for Children are working together to build a home for Mirela. But the overall goal is wider. Today, home for over 1 million children across Central and Eastern Europe is a desolate, state run institution where facilities rarely meet their most basic needs. Once the home for Mirela is built the M1llion Movement will support work to close institutions and set up the services to enable more children to grow up within the love and care of a family

 We are appealing to the British public to open their hearts and donate as little as £1. Be one of the 1 million people that will change the lives of these children forever.
