Story
Thank you so much for visiting our fundraising page for Headway - the brain injury association. How many of us were moved by the drama "Recovery" with David Tennant and Sarah Parrish which highlighted the trauma of brain injury. Their performances brought it home to viewers just how heartbreaking dealing with this type of injury is and how there isn't "some quick fix".
Please help us to raise much needed funds for Headway by digging deep and sponsoring us online. This was the third time that we have taken part in The Great Women's Run and to be honest neither of us are what you would call gifted runners...so please support our efforts and help us to help the charity! We completed the race in 68 minutes - an all time record for us - and because of personal tragic circumstances we were unable to train until last week. Due to high winds at sea they (thankfully) didn't make us run the full length of the pier (we would have needed the RNLI as we'd have all been washed into the sea) but they did add on the extra metres elsewhere (boo!!!) Halfway through the race we wished that we had keys to the TARDIS but ploughed on and to be honest really enjoyed the day (once it was over).
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Headway - the brain injury association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please donate now to this great charity - it needs your support!
Many thanks.
Much Love,
Sharon and Dawn
