In August 2010, Team MAADR (Murray, Alan, Andy, Dan and now Rich) will begin a 4000km cycle journey from John O'Groats, the northernmost tip of the British Isles, to the city of Tanger, Morocco. The total distance of this trip is longer then all the stages of the Tour de France!

The journey will take us through 5 countries to the very bottom of Europe and then onto our final destination in Africa. We are aiming to cycle up to 200km each day in order to complete this trip in less then 4 weeks.

Beginning at John O'Groats we will cycle through Scotland and England to arrive in Dover. After a short trip on the ferry to Calais we will begin our journey through France which will be concluded with a ride over the grueling Pyrenees mountain range. We will then cycle down through Spain along the East coast, crossing the Spanish Sierra Navada mountains via the highest mountain pass in Europe, the Pico Valetta. From there we will ride to the southernmost point in Spain and catch another short boatride to our final destination Morocco!

This cycle is being completed in aid of Help for Heroes. This incredible charity supports and cares for soldiers that are wounded and injured in service to their country. Donations go to improving the lives of the men and women that have sacrificed in the line of duty.
