My Son Mackenzie has recently been diagnosed with Hemiplegia Cerebral Palsy. We have known that there was something not quite right with Mackenzie since he was very young. Mackenzie didn’t crawl, attempt to walk or speak until very late, doctors did not seem to take us very serious probably due to the fact his condition is mild. With our greatest thanks to our local health visitor Breda who referred us to The White Lodge Centre we finally got our diagnoses. I feel that White Lodge has already done so much for us, and it is very early days for Mackenzie but with the help of White Lodge I am sure Mackenzie will lead a normal life. Mackenzie turned three this August and is already such a loveable character who is always smiling.
My Ex-work colleagues have been very supportive and they came up with a mad idea to do a 10k run, to raise money towards White Lodge Centre
My Ex-work colleague's who are taking part in this run alongside or should a say probably running in front of me are as follows:
Jan Matis, Stuart Fielder, Tony Morris, Paul Barlow, Kevin Hickman, John Nuttall
The 10k Run is organised by Cancer Research so we will also be raising money on separate fund raising pages for them.
Many Thanks
Paul Carter
