Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Macmillan Nurses provide first-class care for cancer patients and their families. For people who are affected by this terrible disease they are a source of great comfort.

It is the sort of thing that I would be useless at. So instead I am raising money to fund the work of those who can do it very much better than I could.

On Saturday May 5th 2012 I set off from Boston Parish Church (The Stump) to walk 290 miles to Chesil Beach, near Weymouth.

I arrived at Chesil Beach on May 27th. You can follow the tale of my progress on my blog www.macway290.blogspot.co.uk

I have done all the hard work by walking 290 miles to raise awareness of the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity, all I am asking you to do is reach for the credit card and put a few quid into the pot. If you pay tax we can get some extra money from the Inland Revenue as well!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Macmillan and make sure that Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
