QM Jailbreak · 2 April 2011

READ International addresses the lack of educational resources in schools in Tanzania, creating libraries and supporting young people in skills and capacity development. To date we have sent 1.5 millions books to East Africa and created 94 secondary school libraries.

Story

The name of the game is "Jailbreak", we have 36 hours to get as far away from university as possible without spending any money - this is Ultimate Competitive Hitchhiking!

Queen Mary university will cover our travel insurance for seven days, anywhere in the world and apart from the obvious hitchhiking in lorries and cars across the channel, I am also contacting air courier services in the hope of getting flights out to anywhere outside of europe.

What I'm asking of you lovely people is just a little sponsorship - please give what you can and if you're that sceptical about how far we're going to get and intend to withhold money on that premise then you can still donate after next weekend.

The name of our charity we're raising money for is READ International, which refashions used books and ships them to East Africa.
