For the past 28 years I have taken part in 807 races across the UK to raise money for charity including all the Sheffield full and half marathons since they began in 1982.

Ever since my wife and daughter passed away I have dedicated my life to rasing money for charity. So far I have raised over £130,000 by power walking around race routes and pushing a pram for people to donate into. I have been nicknamed the mad man with the pram! I am now 70 years old but my ambition is to raise £250,000.

I take part in races nearly every weekend and I am planning to walk 1000 miles between Sheffield United FC and Sheffield Wednesday FC over a week in October to raise money for Macmillan.

I have now been supporting Macmillan for the past few years, I lost my wife to cancer so Macmillan have always been special to me. Macmillan does a wonderful job, not just by providing medical support to people affected by cancer but by also providing emotional and financial help.

Macmillan totally rely on donations so please donate as much as you can as every pound makes a difference.
