My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Friday 13th January 2012 The Yorkshire Air Ambulance helped Maria Micklethwaite, when she was knocked off her bicycle. Sadly despite their best efforts she died later in Barnsley Hospital. Married for 3 months and only 36, she leaves an enormous gap in our lives. The least we could do is ask for donation instead of flowers. Thank you
It costs £7200 a day to run the service provided by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The money raised so far is amazing and humbling. Events are being planned in memory of Maria- so we've decided to set a target, lets fund the YAA for a day.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance relies solely on the generosity of the public to help save lives across the region. We need to raise £7200 per day to keep our helicopters in the air. Since we launched in October 2000 we have flown over 4300 patients directly to hospitals across the region www.yaa.org.uk
