Grand Union Challenge 2015 · 27 June 2015 to 28 June 2015 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The family have seen first hand the impact a stroke can have when one of your loved ones has been afflicted. Thankfully, my brother Jim is making steady progress & has been really determined since day 1 to get back to "the old Jim". There's a long journey ahead but he's one of the lucky ones. Jim has a loving, supportive family to help him along his journey of recovery - not all stroke victims are as fortunate. That's why I am undertaking this challenge - having completed the 50Km Grand Union Challenge earlier this year, I'm now shortening the distance to just 10Km! I'm sure I'll ache a little; but the next day I know I'll be fine - Jim's recovery will take much longer. More importantly, Jim has been training hard himself and will be completing the Family Mile Challenge, supported by his wife Kathy, sister Cath, daughters Samantha, Penny & Shannon, Amelia, niece Carrieanne and anyone else we can persuade!! Give Jim a cheer when you see him!
Thank you for taking the time to read our family's story, and thank you for supporting the Stroke Association.
