My story
What is LOST?
LOST is a charity hitch. We will be taken on a blacked out coach with a number of teams at around 1am and be dropped off somewhere completely random on Saturday morning (9/04/2011) at around 6am and will have until midnight to race other teams back to Manchester without spending a dime...... We will be given a series of challenges to complete which is likely to involve stopping in different locations across the UK in order to gain extra points for our team. We will have to rely on our wit and intelligence to blag ourselves home.
Who are Manchester RAG (Raise & Give)?
Manchester RAG is the fundraising arm of the University of Manchester. Last year, they raised £171,000 for local, national and international causes. They raise money for causes in and around Manchester first and foremost, but if there are charities that need their help, then they'll be there.
Who are MAG ( Mines Advisory Group)?
The Mines Advisory Group is a non-governmental organsation founded in 1989, which assists people affeced by landmines, unexploded ordnance and small arms light weapons. MAG has worked in approximately 35 countries since 1989, moving into current and former conflict zones to clear the remnants of those conflicts.
Who are we?
We are 2 very competitive idiots from the University Of Manchester trying to do something for a good cause, which will most likely top the list of the craziest things we've ever done and probably will do. We have now started raising money and are taking any standard or completely stupid suggestions of other ways to raise money.......Gurs has already agreed to eat a bicycle if we manage to raise over £500 so if you would like to see that happen, then start donating A.S.A.P.
