My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Here I am again, running the London Marathon for the second time.   I had such a good time last year, I'm going back for more!!!!   What a mad woman.

I did exceedingly well with my fund-raising last year, raising £2,400 for the Worcester and District Branch of Cats Protection.   This was raised over many months of fund-raising, when my husband Kevin and myself held lots of events such as a Race Night, Skittles night, a couple of General Knowledge quizes, a pet photo competition, strawberries & cream on our back lawn, supermarket collections, to name but a few.

This year I'm fundraising over a shorter period of time and have come up with a couple of new fund-raising events, namely a "Snail" Race Night (as opposed to horses) and a fashion show.

Since raising last years funds and handing over the money to Worcester and District Cats Protection, I have now joined the Committee and help out in any way I can, bearing in mind I have a full-time job.   I am also currently fostering a cat which I picked up from work - my first foster - so I am getting involved in all sorts of ways with the work of Cats Protection.

My own cat Lucy is a happy little girl, who loves bringing me her gifts to the back door!  I was happy to give both she and her sister a loving home, after their ordeal of being dumped on a busy main road when they were just babies, along with their Mum.   Mum and a sibling were sadly killed on the road.   Cats Protection did a wonderful job boosting their confidence in humans and socialising them.   I ran the Marathon last year in memory of Maisie, Lucy's sister, who sadly I lost, but who made a lasting impression on me that I will never forget.   Thinking of my girls got me through the Marathon last year - I will be thinking of them again this year, especially if the going gets tough.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cats Protection will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support and for reading my personal message.
