Catherine and I would firstly like to thank all our friends and family for their ongoing support over the last 10 weeks, it has meant an awful lot to us both. As most people are aware, Maisie Kate Rainey came into the world 7 weeks early. This meant, as a premature baby, she would have to stay in the intensive care unit up at Antrim area hospital until she was able to fend for herself. Maisie was born weighing 4lbs 9, and fortunately for her, this was to be the only reason she was being kept in.
After two and a half weeks (what seemed an eternity), we were told that we could, at last, take our daughter home. During this time Catherine and I got to experience first hand the outstanding and remarkable work that goes on in the neo natal unit of Antrim area hospital. We were also made aware, very quickly, of how lucky we were, as most of the babies in the unit were far worse off.
For this reason alone, Catherine and I have decided that we would like to invite you to help give something back to those who played such a big part in the progress of our little girl, and so they can continue to do such fantastic work.
Thanks,
Brian, Catherine & Maisie
