On Saturday April 9th the Love to Swim Team will be participating in the Swimathon Challenge to help raise money for Make a Wish Foundation. 

Swimathon is the world's biggest fundraising swim and each of our team will aim to swim either 1.5k, 2.5k or the ultimate 5k. 

Make a Wish Foundation grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses. Since being established in the UK in 1986, they have granted over 6,400 wishes.

There are 20,000 children and young people living in the UK with a life threatening illness

Make a Wish has granted 6,400 wishes over 25 years

This year alone 1,200 children will turn to Mae a wish to have their special wish granted. 

Make a Wish needs to raise £5,5m in 2011 to achieve this

So please dig deep and help us to achieve our target of £4,000 to grant a special wish and help transform someone's life by sponsoring us in our Swimathon Challenge
