Connect is a UK charity which helps people with aphasia - a communication disability which is usually caused by a stroke, but can also arise from head injury and tumour.  People with aphasia (also dysphasia) find it hard to speak, read, write, understand language and use numbers.  It can affect people of all ages.  It is estimated that there are 250,000 people in the UK with aphasia.

Last year Malcolm did the run with David, a friend who suffered a stroke aged 39.  Connect helped David get back on track and he is now back to work 4 days a week.  The transformation has been remarkable.  Unfortunately David can't run this year due to injury, so Mark has kindly stepped up to the challenge. 
We raised £1065 last year on a target of £800 . 

This year we've increased the target to £1000, so please dig deep  !
