Hi!
I'm running the 10 in 10 this year to help raise money for the Brathay Trust. I don't really know if I can complete the 10 in 10 or not, but there's only one way to find out for sure. I'll give it my best shot.
I've discovered many things about myself since taking up marathon running. Running marathons is about setting goals and the sense of accomplishment when achieving them. It's about pushing yourself when you think you can't 'do it'. It's about meeting people and making friends. It's about experiencing new things and places. It's about being outdoors and feeling alive. It's about good health and enjoyment, not just for me but for other runners, and its an opportunity to be a role model for your children.
And for many runners it's an opportunity to help support worthwhile causes such as the the Brathay Trust. I hope to be able to raise funds for the programs Brathay has in place for children who don't have opportunities to try new experiences. I know that small investments now can make a big difference in children's lives. If it's possible any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
