THIS CAMPAIGN CLOSED ON FRIDAY 29th APRIL 2011 to commemorate Mandy Howells' 50th birthday to conclude the Mandy Howells Memorial Tribute Campaign.
Baroness Howells and the Dockree family wish to thank the friends and relatives who have so kindly donated in Amanda's name.
Cancer Research was chosen as one of two charities because it was dear to her and was Mandy's last personal campaign (Cancer Research - Race for Life). She wished to support cancer research and cancer support charities, the 2nd one being the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust or ACLT (www.aclt.org) instead of receiving flowers for her funeral which took place on 27th January.

Mandy's own fundraising message from 2010 for the "Race to Life" fundraising campaign:-
"As you know I found out in July 2009 that I have Lymphoma Cancer.
Big thanks to those of you that have already donated to Cancer Research via this page. And a big thank you to the annoymous, selfless donor that donated two bags of stem cells to me. The stem cells are settling into my body now so just another two weeks or so in Guys Hospital.
So cannot actually do the Race for Life tomorrow but I would still like to collect money for Cancer Research. Anything from £1 upwards. Every penny helps. Please dig deep and thank you in advance for your donation.
