Story
I've finally decided it was time to get the trainers back on and see if I could kid myself into believing that I could run a marathon again. For someone with dodgy knees and ankles to mention but a few ailments that age brings on, I'm really surprised at how well I was able to get back into it and build up the miles.
Now I'm set on attempting the Edinburgh Marathon on 23rd May - 25 years on after my last marathon.
But with only a few weeks to go, I feel I shouldn't just be doing this for my own - dare I call it benefit, and have decided that I'd run to hopefully raise funds with your help for the Rangers Charity Foundation.
Marathon Update - Completed the course in 4 hours 30 minutes, which I'm pretty pleased at considering the heat, looking forward to doing it again.... in another 25 years!
This is the bit where you guys can do your wee bit as well, firstly many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and secondly and more importantly please try and dig deep and leave a donation to the Charity Foundation while your here.
