Im Helen and am undertaking the 365 Challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK.  My aim is raise at least £3650 for a cause close to my heart.  The challenge takes place over 365 days, so I have a whole year to achieve my target.

I want to undergo something that challenges me, but also uses one of my passions in life - running, and fits in with a hectic life style of Mother to two young boys and running my own business.  Earlier this year I was able to rekindle my love of running after recovery from a long term pelvic condition.  Shortly after starting up the running again (the only thing I was good at in school) I heard about the wonderful and inspiring challenge created by Colin Clerkin through Twitter.

From 1st January 2010 my challenge will begin... My first intention is to run a marathon a month - the distance of 26.2 miles.  By May 1st I hope to be running the distance of a marathon a week.  I will be setting myself numerous personal challenges during this time; to complete organised races starting in the race season with the worlds first Kilomathon in March - 26.2 Km (16.3 miles).  I am not expecting to break any speed records, just completing each race is an achievement after regaining my running legs!
