Team member Bob Finch comments: "In 2010 Lesley Ferguson led the team in a marathon swim to raise money for the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre (LJMC). In successfully battling cancer, Lesley had received great support and comfort during her treatment from the LJMC and wanted to repay their efforts in some way. The swim was a great success. It raised in excess of £7000 and what’s more all those that took part enjoyed themselves. This year the swim is being repeated with the aim of raising money for LJMC and Michael Sobell Hospice where my wife sadly died in 2009. These great institutions rely heavily on donations in order to continue with their invaluable support of cancer sufferers, so please give generously in support of our efforts.”
