I am taking part in the London Marathon to raise funds for the Poole Hospital Wish List which fundraises on behalf of all  wards and departments; the monies raised from the 2010 London Marathon will go towards the New Maternity Hospital and NICU appeal. 

I have been training since March 2009 and have taken part in 2 x 5k runs and a 10k so far. My longest run to date has been 8.5 miles and I am gradually building up with the help of a training plan stuck on the fridge door. In March I have a place in a half marathon as part of my preparations for the big day.  I have really surprised myself at how far I have come and I have lost a stone in weight too which is an added bonus!
