Story
There was no particular reason why I developed epilepsy at an early age. There is no history of it in my family, and I didn't go through any major trauma - it just was one of those things.
Living with epilepsy as an adult you have to adapt and learn to live a little more carefully, and a part of that was the great help and support from the British Epilepsy Association (now Epilepsy Action). To find out more the great work they do, click here.
Running a marathon – even just to finish it(!) is most likely the hardest thing that I’ll ever voluntarily undertake. It would be great not only to have you help me raise funds for Epilepsy Action, but to also come down and give your support on the day!
Please help Epilepsy Action it helping those less fortunate than myself, who aren't as lucky to be seizure free.
Many thanks from me and Epilespy Action,
Marathon Mel xx
