Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our "JustGiving" page.

We will be running the 2011 London Marathon on April 17th in aid of the local “Macmillan Cancer Unit” in Christchurch, Dorset.  Macmillan Caring Locally is a Trust operating from offices in the Macmillan Unit, which provides funding to enhance this care, and to provide an attractive, homely environment for patients and their families and visitors. They also provide funds for nursing and medical equipment to improve patient treatment and comfort.  Running a marathon is the most challenging and scariest thing we have probably ever done, but we hope that with support from our friends and family, and knowing that we are running for this great Charity, we will find the motivation to put in the necessary training and energy on the day to get through it.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe – they’ll never send them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So, please give generously!  Your donations will not only support Macmillan Cancer and all those they help, but will give us that extra bit of motivation we need to make sure we all finish!
